Portrait of Dr. Anju Bansal

About

Dr. Anju Bansal is a trained vitreoretinal surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the retina, vitreous and uvea. She also has specialised expertise in the screening and management of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) in premature babies.

After completing her MBBS and DNB in Ophthalmology, Dr. Bansal pursued advanced fellowship training in Vitreoretina, Uvea and Retinopathy of Prematurity at Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi — a leading tertiary eye-care and teaching institution.

Her work combines advanced retinal diagnostics, evidence-based medical management and vitreoretinal surgical care. She is particularly interested in complex retinal diseases, uveitis and the use of multimodal retinal imaging for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning and long-term monitoring.

Retinal diseases can be complex and, in some cases, may progress without obvious early symptoms. Dr. Anju Bansal believes in careful diagnosis, clear communication and personalised treatment planning. She takes time to explain the retinal condition, available treatment choices, expected outcomes and the importance of follow-up care.
